Photography on the Sussex coast. After spending a restful Christmas and New year I have been eager to get out and do some photography. It seems like we have had constant cloud cover for weeks! I know that's not strictly true but it does feel like that sometimes. Still, all the dull weather has given me the opportunity to catch up on last year's image editing. I think digital photography is fantastic, it gives us photographers unlimited potential to experiment. From a photography teacher's point of view, being able to view students images when they take them is a great teaching aid.Anyway, back to getting out and taking photographs. I had a good look at the weather forecast last Sunday and the weather looked good for Monday. The forecast for the rest of the week once again was for cloud. So Monday it was.I decided to visit the Sussex coast. I am leading a new workshop along this coast between Eastbourne and west towards Brighton. This stretch of coastline takes in the Seven Sisters, Beachy Head and Seaford Head plus the Seven Sisters' Country Park. Although I know the area well, it's always a great location to revisit.Fortunately, the forecast was right. Great light, great location. I had a marvellous days' photography. I finished the day at Beachy Head waiting for the sun to dip below the horizon.I have to say, I'm really looking forward to running photography workshops along the Sussex coast this year. Fantastic location!
