Exhibition Group

The exhibition group was an idea I had at the end of 2008. It occured to me that it would be a nice idea if there was something for past and present students to do in conjunction with ArtEscape Photography after they had finished one or all of my courses. The exhibition group's aim is to exhibit member's photographs in locations in and around Essex. Having an photography show coming up gives members an extra reason to go out and shoot really good images. The group provides a focus and reason for students to continue taking photographs once the course they have been doing has long since finished.

The exhibition group (which is called 20/20 by the way) is open to all past and present students of ArtEscape Photography. Apart from a small annual membership to cover public liability insurance, there is no charge for being a member of the group. I am more than happy to put my time and effort into this project because it's a great way to keep in touch with my ex-students; many of which have since become firm friends.

Being part of a group like this is a really great way to show your work off to the general public. It's a great buzz to see complete strangers admiring your photographs. Setting up a solo exhibition can be very expensive. Being part of a collective such as this means the cost of exhibiting is spread among many people. It's a very affordable way of showing your masterpieces to the wider world. We are always looking for new venues in which to exhibit.......if you know of one, please contact me!
