White cliffs at st Margarets Bay, great photography location

The morning's photography takes place at St Margaret's Bay. With towering chalk cliffs, ever-changing rock pools and sometimes crashing waves, the photographic opportunities are endless.

This full-day course covers a wide range of photographic techniques including composition, creative use of aperture and shutter speeds, direction of light, photographic filters, taking and assessing exposure readings and histograms.

The second location is Reculver Towers which is about 25 minutes around the coast from St Margaret's Bay. Reculver Towers offers a totally different photographic challenge. The main focal point is the ruined abbey adjacent to the sea. This is also a great location for "big skys".

Along with learning good, solid camera skills, on this workshop you will also be encouraged to develop your "photographer's eye". You will start to view the world in a different way.

The workshops are limited to a maximum of  five people. I tailor the course to each individual taking your level of experience into account.   From beginners onwards,You can learn in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere at your own rate.

The workshop runs throughout the year. The cost is £75.00 per person which includes transport between locations.   All students receive a set of detailed notes covering what they have learnt.

The days' photography will not be too physically demanding. However, a reasonable level of fitness is required.
