1 Day Classroom Course PDF Print E-mail

This full-day course is designed for those photographers who would like to attend  my  beginner and intermediate classroom courses but are not able to set aside  an evening a week for eight consecutive  weeks.   In this intensive one-day course I combine the most important aspects of both the beginner and intermediate courses .   The object is to really kick-start your photography.   Subjects covered include camera controls, correct focus, the relationship between shutter speed and aperture, plus correct exposure, to the more creative subjects including composition, use of colour and light and the creative use of depth of field, artificial light and head and shoulders portraiture.   Also, basic digital imaging (enhancing images on the computer using Photoshop Elements)

Date for 2012: Sat. 28th April 2012

The venue for the course is the Champions Manor Hall, South Woodham Ferrers, Essex. The start time is 9 am. The course finishes at 4.30pm

There are regular tea-breaks during the day as I find a short break helps everyone to stay focused and to concentrate.

Lunch is between 12.30pm and 1.pm. You will need to supply your own  packed lunch. Tea and coffee will be provided throughout the day.

If you would like to bring along examples of your photography, that would be great. There will be time to assess your work and talk about where improvement could be made.

With this course you will receive a selection of notes relating to all the subjects covered during the day.

Photography is a very practical subject. Along with the notes there will be a set of projects relating to the various photographic techniques talked about during the course.   Although the projects are not compulsory it is definitely worth giving them a try.

Once you have completed the projects you can email the images to me.  I will then assess them and give you constructive feedback.

The cost of this course is £95.00 inclusive per person.
