Suffolk three-day photography course

For a number of years I have been running a one-day photography workshop on the Suffolk coast.

After spending many hours and days exploring Suffolk I feel it's time to add a three-day course because there are so many great locations to photograph.

Over the three-day course we visit many different locations all of which offer a different photographic challenge.  There are the crumbling cliffs and the ruined abbey of Cove Hithe, Southwold Pier and it's famous beach huts, the broken jetty and it's skeletal remains at Walberswick, Dunwich Forest and Common, Leister abbey, Aldeburgh, it's shingled beach and fishing boats, Thorpeness's Victorian boating lake and let us not forget Suffolk's photogenic windmills.  Along with all of these great locations there is Constable country's Flatford Mill to visit.  By following the river Stour we come to Sudbury which is another very photogenic location.  There is almost too much to fit in over three days.

My location workshops have a maximum of five students.  This means there is ample opportunity for one-to-one during the day as well as covering different subjects in a group.  It does not matter what level of photography you are currently at.  I can tailor the course to each individual because of the low student numbers per workshop.  Although many photographic techniques are covered during all of the courses I run, I feel it's important that students don't feel under pressure.  My workshops are very relaxed.  You will definitely learn more if you are enjoying yourself!

                           What's covered in this course

Subjects covered during the course include: Creative use of aperture and shutter speeds, creative use of focal lengh, camera controls, correct exposure and exposure histogram, photographic filters, use of colour and light, white balance, "developing the eye", composition, exposure compensation, fill-in-flash, plus any subject you may have a particular interest in.

We will also look at creating a digital panoramic and macro photography depending on your level of ability.

                                        Cost of course

The cost of this three-day course is £225.00.  All transport between locations is included.  Also included is a full set of notes for you to refer back to after the course is finished.

At a later date, if you would like to email me some of your images taken during the course for constructive critique that's great.   I always love to see them.

Accommodation and meals are not included in the price of this course.
